01Overview

A travel wallet and card where the conversion, the fee and the rate reach the customer's wrist before the receipt prints.

02The problem

Vela's customers learned what a holiday had cost when the statement arrived, because charges were converted overnight at a rate nobody could see. Weekend spending abroad became Monday's support queue.

Card operations watching every authorisation priced and pushed inside a second
03What we built
  1. 01

    Priced at the terminal

Every authorisation is converted, priced and pushed to the phone and watch within a second, with the rate used and the fee charged stated in full.

  2. 02

    A wallet per trip

Balances, budgets and shared costs group by trip rather than by calendar month, so a trip closes with a number instead of an argument.

  3. 03

    One tap to dispute

Every notification carries a 'not me' action that freezes the card, opens the case and attaches the evidence without a phone call.

One tap on the watch freezes the card and opens the case with the evidence already attached
The full cost of a hotel charge in the taxi, with the rate that was actually used
04The result

Statement-shock complaints effectively ended, and card use abroad rose because customers trusted the price at the point of sale.

Either works. In my experience the second one goes faster.
